Budget Talks Resume

Budget talks have resumed; a large group of legislators including House and Senate Leadership, Russell Pearce and Bob Burns~the House and Senate Appropriations Chairmen, and about 10 or so rank and file Republican Members are meeting daily to grapple with the ways and means to address the $1.8 Billion Dollar deficit.
As appropriations Vice-Chair, I am participating in this process. I am somewhat comforted in knowing that Senator Gould, Representatives Biggs and Pearce, while included in the discussions, add to to mine their loud voices of reason and true constitutional conservatism.
Monday's meeting should begin with a discussion of the cost and value of welfare and social services provided by you, the Taxpayer, via the State of Arizona.
