How to Track a Bill
Constituent Mail
The United States is a socialist country and uses national socialism through a 2 way lobotomy (low band width programmer) bug in planted secretly after birth in the forehead sinus cavity to provide for profiled pacification and the direct control needed to run all of the activity used to drive the agendas of the political parties plus the control is used to psychologically condition the citizens so it’s effects cannot be undone while their educations are crippled to deny them the ability to defend themselves or retaliate outside of the pre-set stages of the government used to control damage so that a new approach can be used.

HCR 2038~Spending Limit for Arizona Government
Whereas, the Governor and her legislative allies have spent the state government into a billion-dollar budget deficit;
Whereas, some legislators are using the deficit to justify bringing back the state equalization property tax;
Whereas, in 2006 and 2007, state government spending as a portion of the state economy, as measured by personal income, exceeded 6.4 percent;
Whereas, fiscal moderation and fiscal conservatism both demand that government not be allowed to grow faster than the private economy;
Whereas, the existing Constitutional spending limit of 7.41 percent of state personal income was far too high to restrain recent spending binges;
Resolved, the Arizona Republican Party in Convention assembled on this 26th day of January 2008 does hereby declare that:
The Arizona Republican Party supports HCR 2038, a referendum bill introduced in the Second Session of the 48th Arizona Legislature, which would allow voters in November 2008 to amend Arizona’s Constitutional spending limit to cap spending by the state government at no more than 6.4 percent of state personal income;
Further, the following legislators are to be commended for sponsoring HCR 2038: from the Arizona House of Representatives, Russell Pearce, Mark Anderson, Ray Barnes, Andy Biggs, Judy Burges, Sam Crump, Eddie Farnsworth, Trish Groe, John Kavanagh, Rick Murphy, Bob Stump, House Speaker Jim Weiers, and Steven Yarbrough, and from the Arizona Senate, Robert “Bob” Burns, Ron Gould, Jack Harper, Sen. Karen Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader Thayer Verschoor.

Summary of Proposed Water Legislation by AMWUA
Mohave County Water Authority Proposed Legislation: HB2132
(Sponsors: Representatives McLain, Burges, Groe; Senator Aguirre)
Bill Provisions
HB 2132 amends ARS § 45-2244 to eliminate the industrial use restriction on a portion of
Mohave County Water Authority’s Colorado River allocation.
Background
In 1994, legislation was adopted to provide for the formation of the Mohave County Water
Authority (MCWA). The members of MCWA are Bullhead City, City of Kingman, Lake
Havasu City, Mohave County, Golden Shores Irrigation District, Mohave Valley Irrigation and
Drainage District, and the Mohave Water Conservation District.
The impetus to forming MCWA was to put to use the City of Kingman’s Colorado River
contract for 18,500 acre-feet of 4th priority water, while at the same time providing Kingman
with funds to develop its groundwater resources. A.R.S. § 45-2244 prescribes the uses for which
this water may be used.
Late in the negotiations, the Department of Interior set aside 3,500 acre-feet of the 18,500 acrefeet for other uses, leaving MCWA with 3,500 acre-feet of 5th and 6th priority water, which is a less stable supply than the higher priority, 4th priority water. This 3,500 acre-feet was recently converted back to 4th priority water pursuant to provisions in the Arizona Water Settlements Agreement and would now be available to the MCWA as a permanent supply, however, A.R.S. § 45-2244 A.2. limits the 3,500 acre-feet to industrial uses. Industrial uses are defined in A.R.S. § 45-2201 (8) as a “nonagricultural use of water not supplied by a city, town or private water company, including animal industry use as defined in § 45-402.”
Since MCWA’s formation in 1996, it has not received a single request for water for an industrial use. During that same time frame, MCWA’s members have sought additional water for municipal purposes, which can include industrial uses.
The MCWA Board voted unanimously to seek this legislation at its meeting held September 25, 2007.
This legislation would result in additional water for municipal as well as industrial uses. It
would provide the City of Kingman with additional funds to develop its groundwater resources.

Support from the AZ Citizens Defense League and Members
The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) has informed me that you are a cosponsor of SB 1214, permitting adults with concealed weapon (CCW) permits to carry on school grounds in accordance with Federal law.
With irrational gun bans in place everywhere, anyone determined to do a lot of harm knows that they can literally get away with murder on school grounds, because no one will stop them until it's too late. On April 16, 2007, twenty-seven students and five faculty members at Virginia Tech lost their lives to a madman who possessed one distinct advantage over his victims – he wasn't concerned about the "gun free zone" rules. Nineteen of his thirty-two victims were over twenty-one, the legal age for obtaining a concealed handgun permit in Virginia (and Arizona).
The passage of SB 1214 is very important to me, and I will do all I can to support it through the legislative process. Thank you for sponsoring SB 11214.
Public Input/Testimony Needed
The meeting will be held in House Hearing Room 3
3:00 to 5:30 (or upon adjournment of afternoon committees).
The agenda will be set within the next few days. If you or someone you know would like to offer input on subjects to be discussed, please contact Representative Nancy Barto at the number/email address below.
There will be time for public input and testimony. Representative Barto and Senator Karen Johnson, the Chairs of this committee are looking forward to hearing from you!
If you cannot attend in person, please take the time to send me an email with any comments, questions, or concerns that you would like brought to light and I will be sure they are read into the record. I will have my legislative email open (tgroe@azleg.gov) if you happen to watch the committee hearing via the internet at www.azleg.gov and want to email me during the meeting.

Critique of Napolitano's Proposed FY 2009 Budget
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, January 25, 2008
CONTACT: Steve Voeller: (602) 346-5061
Arizona Free Enterprise Club Criticizes Napolitano’s Reckless Budget Proposal
Governor’s budget proposal adds $2.3 billion in debt, according to JLBC
Phoenix, AZ – Steve Voeller, president of the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, a pro-economic growth advocacy group, today criticized Governor Janet Napolitano’s proposed fiscal 2009 budget.
In response to a $1.7 billion 2009 budget deficit, the Governor’s plan calls for $2.3 billion in new debt, an early tax payment, an expansion of photo radar, increased taxes from the lottery, and $700 million in revenue figures above consensus forecasts.
“The Governor’s budget plan for 2009 is irresponsible and should be rejected,” Voeller said.
The Governor’s plan shifts from paying cash to borrowing money for the following items:
$864 million School construction (FY’08 and ’09)
$967 million University building and maintenance
$470 million Phoenix medical school
$50 million Public safety communications
$7 million Emergency operations center
TOTAL $2.358 billion (source: Joint Legislative Budget Cmte.)
To realize new revenue, the Governor asks businesses to pay their July estimated retail taxes in June, meaning businesses will have to pay both June and July payments in the same month. She also assumes $90 million in revenue from an expansion of photo radar. It is unclear how much it will cost to implement photo radar statewide or how many tickets will have to be issued to net $90 million.
The Governor plans to spend additional state money promoting the lottery in hopes that an increase in lottery participation will bring $10 million to state coffers.
The Governor’s plan also calls for a $60 million shift from the state’s balance book to county budgets by housing felons in county jails rather than state prisons.
Over the last five years, government spending increased 32 percent after adjusting for population and inflation.
“The most troubling aspect of the Governor’s budget is the total lack of fiscal discipline,” Voeller continued. “After years of overspending, she attempts to plug a $1.7 billion dollar budget gap with $2.3 billion in new debt.”

Texting While Driving?
According to a recent article in the Arizona Capitol Times, Representative Farley promises to bring the proposal back and perhaps even make it stricter. Last session's bill can be viewed by clicking the title of this post.
What's next...laws against eating while driving, putting on make-up while driving, talking with your hands while driving? What about changing the radio station while driving? Where does it end? How about focusing on enforcement of the current law against reckless driving instead of passing new legislation?
As O'Rielly asks, "What say you"?
SLIF Monies Approved for Lake Havasu City
A big thanks to Bill Mulcahy, Director of Lake Havasu Parks and Recreation Department, for making the trip to Phoenix and providing an excellent arguement for why Lake Havasu City deserves these funds.
The SLIF receives its revenue from a portion of watercraft license fees and an allocation of gasoline tax attributable to watercraft use. Monies in the fund are available to state agencies, counties, and local governments for capitol improvement projects and aquisitions of real property on waters where gasoline-powered boats are permitted.
The Park's Board first requested $952,100 to be used at existing facilities at Lake Havasu State Park. This money is to be used to replace insufficient (per the Fire Marshall) 4-inch water mains with 8-inch water mains and 9 hydrants and to also provide potable water and electricity to all 47 campsites throughout the park. No current campsites have electricity.
The Park's Board also second request $1,500,000 to contract for the planning of the development of Contact Point recreation area located about 4 miles south of Lake Havasu State Park. The Contact Point recreation area would be located on indeveloped land already owned by the State Parks Board. However, part of the roadway that would be used to access the recreation area is located on BLM land.
If you would like additional information on this issue, please contact my office.
State Budget ~ Positive Aspects
The tax package includes $10.5 million in tax reductions, this years's carry over from the last legislative session amounted to $400 million. We increased the Budget Stabilization Fund (BSF or Rainy Day Fund) by 7% or $705 Million for this fiscal year. (I am not a fan of the rainy day fund but that is another post.) We also implemented legislation that allows Arizonans to contribute tax-free to a child's college 529 savings plan. The annual deduction is $750 dollars for individuals and $1,5000 for married couples.
Other notable provisions include:
- $500 Million for Highway Funding
- $46 Million for Teacher Pay Raises
- $120 Million for School Construction

Sheriff’s Volunteer Posse Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Posse (formerly known as Sheriff’s Citizen Action Team, S.C.A.T.), celebrates its ten year anniversary this month.
In 1997, shortly after taking office, Sheriff Tom Sheahan saw the need for a well trained volunteer unit to assist deputies with their everyday tasks and created the volunteer unit. From a small group of volunteers to over 50 strong today, the Sheriff’s Posse is an important part of the Sheriff’s Office daily functions. Posse members conduct property checks, vacation watches, transport prisoners and evidence. Additionally, they are called upon to assist with special events, patrol neighborhoods, direct traffic, assist with crime scene preservation and numerous other duties. Posse members receive formal training in an academy taught by Sheriff’s officials and utilize that training everyday. Posse member’s patrol throughout the entire county as needed.
To become a member of the Sheriff’s Volunteer Posse, you may contact Deputy John Slaughter at the Sheriff’s Office, 928-753-0753, extension 4509.

General Fund Appropriations, FY 2007-2008
I am posting as I am reading so bear with me as I want to share this information on how General Fund Monies are appropriated for Fiscal Year 2007-2008....
Okay, I found a new Google feature that allows you to create documents and charts then publish them online. I plugged the information into a basic chart and I think if you click on the title above you will find the information.
Sharp readers will not that the percentages in the right column add up to a bit over 100%. Very crafty! I transposed the numbers as they were published so I have no explanation for this.

ADOT's Current Five-Year Transportaion Construction Program
At the bottom of page 9 you will find a small chart that list the cities that receive monies under a federal program, 5311, Rural Public Transportation Program. According to the report, the FTA appropriates over $8.3 Million annually to fund rural public transit systems to communities with under 50,000 population. LD III cities listed as participating in the program are Kingman, Bullhead City, and Lake Havasu City.
Page 12 broaches the subject of Aviation needs, how they are identified, then prioritized. The airport project rating system is a weighed scale and points are awarded to the following factors:
- Project is on main runway
- New construction
- Number of aircraft on wait list
- Annual passengers enplaned for scheduled air service
- Annual aircraft operations to capacity ratio
When both highway and aviation project requests have been prioritized and matched with available funding the update is presented to the State Transportation Board for their authorization to release the Tentative Program for review by the public. Public Hearings are then conducted. Hearing locations are established in January and are, according to this report, scheduled for your convenience in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson. Great...

New Auditor General Report on Colorado City School District
Recommendations of the Auditor General's office include the following:
- The District should improve its financial condition.
- The District should maintain conflict of interest files.
- The District should improve controls over purchasing and expenditures.
- The District should maintain accurate capital assests and stewardship lists.
- The District's controls over cash receipts and bank acconts should be strenghtened.
- The District should maintain acurate student attendance records.
- The District's financial information should be accurately maintained and reported.
These recommendations are based on the following concerns:
- The District's auditors expressed substantial doubt about the District's ability to continue its operations.
- The District did not document conflicts of intrest for employees.
- The District did not always follow competitive purchasing requirements, and therefore, could not ensure it received the best value for the public monies it spent. (CCUD received over $5.1 Million of taxpayer dollars in fiscal year 2006.)
- The District did not maintain complete complete and accurate capital assets and stewardship lists, and did not always identify items as district property to protect them from loss or theft.
- Poor cash controls left district and student monies susceptible to loss, theft, or misuse.
- The District did not always record partial-day attendance correctly, and as a result, may not have received the proper amount of funding.
- The District did not ensure the accuracy of its cash balances since its records were not reconciled to the County Treasurer's records.
Now, all of this sounds serious, and, well, it is but I have confidence in Peter Davis. Mr Davis, a CPA and owner of Simons Consulting in Phoenix is the receiver hired in December 2005. Davis was charged with bringing the district back into compliance of guidelines prescribed by Arizona law. Mr. Davis is a man of action. Sweeping changes followed his hiring as cell phones, credit cards, and even vehicles were taken away from district staff. He brought new staff aboard, too. I have met Mr. Davis during his many visits to the Capitol and we have spoken at length about the situation he faces so when I saw this report I gave him a call. Davis assures me that all issues mentioned in the Auditor General's report are being recitfied and his response to the report will be forthcoming, probably sometime next week. Look for a paraphrased version of it here.

Catching Up
I am getting ready to attend the Governor’s Rural Economic Conference next week. Ron Walker, the Mohave County Manager and Jonas Peterson, the Deputy Director of the Mohave County Community and Economic Development office are going to be there also. (I sold Jonas and his wife a house when they moved to Lake Havasu and now they attend our church.)
At the end of this month I am participating in the League of Cities & Towns annual conference where the theme is “Today’s Choices: Tomorrow’s Reality”. Kingman Mayor Les Byram is one of the conference planners so I expect him to attend and I believe Charlie Cassens will be there representing Lake Havasu City. Some of the topics being discussed at these events will include: Planning for Future Water Supplies, Planning for Growth at the Local, Regional, and State Level, Impact Fees, Workforce Housing~Inovative Ideas and Solutions, & Transportation~The Road (Rail, Air, & Transit) to the Future. I am looking forward to lively discussions on all of these vital areas and cannot wait to expand upon my knowledge!
The legislature is supposed to be holding CPS hearings at the end of the month, though I think they might be moved into September. The hearings will possibly be open to the public, which is unusual, but I do not think that they are planning on taking public testimony. I will let post the details as soon as Representative Kirk Adams, the chairman of the Government Committee, provides the information.
There is a little talk of special session whether to address the illegal immigration legislation or the unbalanced budget. I do not believe that this will come to fruition and from what I took from my time with Speaker Weier’s last week, he agrees.
Coming Soon: The Auditor General takes a look at Colorado City schools!
The Road to Recovery
Because my legal situation is yet to be resolved I will write about my arrest once and only once on this blog. I will open the comment section and publish all comments, no matter what your opinion, if they are civil and without profanity, lies will be deleted. Any questions regarding Calvary Center, the rehabilitation center I attended can be answered by their staff at Calvary Center. The toll free number is 866-76-SOBER.
On the evening of March 22, I was arrested in Parker, Arizona for driving under the influence. I was taken to the La Paz County Sherriff’s office. My car was towed and impounded. I thank God that I was stopped and give great thanks that I did not injure others by my appalling behavior. I was released several hours later into the custody of a family member who lives nearby. From what I have been told, this is standard operating procedure for the La Paz County Sherriff’s office.
Approximately one week later I took a leave of absence from the state legislature and entered Calvary Center, a 30-day, faith-based rehabilitation facility located in Phoenix. Although I regret missing time and votes at the Capitol, I am confident that I made the right decision. The staff at Calvary Center taught me the skills I needed to successfully battle my addiction to alcohol and at this time, I am over 4 months sober. If someone you know has a problem with alcohol, drugs, and/or gambling, Calvary Center is the place for them. It costs a fraction of what other facilities charge but the doctors, therapists; the entire staff in fact, is top notch. People from all over the country, from all walks of life comprised the patient population.
Though I focused on my recovery by attending daily mandatory meetings, lectures, group therapy, bible study and work therapy, I was also able to touch base with my colleagues for brief periods of time (by email) in order take part in the budget process. I also was allowed documents pertaining to the state budget along with any priority mail from constituents.
After my rehabilitation I resumed work at the legislature. I reinstated my driver’s license, which had been suspended for 30 days after my arrest, by applying for a 60-day restricted license. This allowed me to drive back and forth to work. 90 days have passed and I now have no restrictions on my license.
No charges have been filed against me yet. I expect charges to be filed any day now. I do not know the reason for the delay. I do not know the gentleman who will be prosecuting my case. Most of what I learn about my case I read in the paper.
At times I feel my life is in limbo, not knowing what the future holds and yes, this is all of my doing. I can’t dwell on this though as it does not make for a very productive day, in fact, it does no good at all. Besides, from the amount of email I get, there are so many others who have taken up this cause. What I know is this…I made a horrible mistake in drinking and driving. I put countless others at risk with complete disregard. I have no excuse. I am sorry for that and sorry for betraying the trust of all who counted on me. I am a Christian and a leader and my behavior has not reflected either. I do not know if I will be able to retain my position. Certainly there are those who desire for me to step down. I will not. This decision is not borne out of pride but of the knowledge that I have been effective as a conservative republican. I stand by my voting record, my awards, and accomplishments. I am not boasting, instead using them as a testament to my effectiveness.
So for now I work, doing the good work I have been blessed to do. I focus on the good in my life and the good I can do for others. I celebrate my good fortune every day which includes my family and friends, my God, my sobriety, and my work. In whatever situation I am learning to be content.

Opinion from AG's Office Requested re: Minimum Wage
However, there are many questions surrounding the applicability of the new law.
An opinion from the Attorney General's Office has been requested and is expected to answer the following specific questions:
Will you issue an opinion that responds to the following questions?
Does the new minimum wage law apply to the developmentally disabled workers or is the "special" minimum wage authorized by Section 14(C) of the Fair Labor Standards Act still applicable?
Are there any other federal exemptions that are still in effect, if so, which ones?
The official title of Proposition 202 contained a phrase alluding to the repeal of §23-362, Arizona Revised Statutes, however, the text of the measure contains no such repeal, does this mean that the old statute was not repealed?
If you determine that the old law was not properly repealed, and since the new law contains no express provision for workers with disabilities, can employers still pay "commensurate" wages in accord to the reference to federal law found in the old § 23-362, Arizona Revised Statutes?
Additionally, the Industrial Commission, the entity charged with oversight and rule making associated with the new wage, issued a press release on December 26, 2006 that included the following statement, highlighted in red:
MINIMUM WAGE LAW ON DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED, PHYSICALLY-CHALLENGED WORKER PROGRAMS
(Phoenix, AZ) - The Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA), the agency responsible for implementing changes to Arizona's new voter-approved minimum wage law, is advising employers who participate in special work programs for the disabled to proceed as usual until the agency is able to address concerns about how the new law will apply in these cases. Approved by voters last month, Proposition 202 raises the minimum wage in Arizona to $6.75 an hour beginning January 1st, 2007.
Last week, Arizona employers exempt from minimum wage standards for developmentally- or physically-challenged workers through approved "sheltered work center" programs and community members raised questions about the law. Because the ICA will still be in the process of gathering information from the both the community and employers on the effective date, employers who participate in sheltered work center programs will not be penalized for not paying the new wage. They are being advised to follow current procedure until an advisory opinion can be issued.
We remain in contact with the Solicitor General's Office and hope that an opinion will be issued soon.

*Earlier this month I was assigned to Transportation. Although interested in this subject I questioned Leadership of the decision to not re-assign Rep. McLain to this committee as she served well on the committee for the last two years. She has a strong, knowledge-based foundation from which the district benefits and it did not make sense that she not continue to serve in this capacity, unless she requested off the committee. After finding out this was not the case, I lobbied for her to be re-assigned, Leadership agreed and switched her to Transportation and me to Water & Agriculture. Makes sense, right?

Or' the River & Through the Woods to Grandmother's House..
F and I returned last night from a too short visit to Illinois to visit my Grandmother for the first time since the passing of my Grandfather last May. Balmy weather (mid-50's) and sunshine eased the mood of touch-down into Milwaukee, a place more associated with the long-term illness and emergency hospitalizations, usually during the bitter winters than beer (Many people associate Milwaukee with beer, as it was once the home to four of the world's largest breweries and was the number one beer producing city in the world for many years) the Brewers, or Bucks.
My uncle is teaching my Grandmother to use the computer and she is now a frequent visitor to the blogs of my siblings...mine not so much, due to the majority political content. (This one's for you, Gram!)
The days were short but jam-packed full of food, family and fellowship. Over Honey-Baked Ham, Dijon-Crusted Slow Roasted Pork Tenderloin, and Tender Beef Pot Roast F & I basked in the company of my Gram, the Uncle and His Tender-Hearted Wife, and three of my favorite Aunts. My only regret is that we forgot to drop by the local ice cream shop for a seasonal eggnog shake!
Next time, F says "when the weather warms" our visit will be longer. Think we can get a budget signed and end session in 120 days? I have my motivation!
I love you Gram! Make those appointments, use the puffer, and know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers!

2007 Legislative Agenda
As someone who values the input of local groups and local perspectives above all, I am encouraging you as community leaders, activists, and most importantly, as people directly affected by the actions of the Legislature, to submit to me your areas of concern and your policy priorities for this session.
For instance, if you are an organization with a legislative agenda, I invite you to send me those items as soon as possible so that I may give them due consideration. Additionally, if there is a particular state agency you have dealt with regarding your issue, I ask that you be specific in your request and provide me with as many details and relevant contact information as possible.
By reaching out to the individuals and groups that connect people of common interests and goals, I am better able to ensure effective representation of your needs and your priorities at the State Capitol this session.
If at all possible, I prefer that you submit your information and proposals to me electronically at your earliest convenience, as leadership meetings will be underway in the next two weeks.
I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Foster Care Review Board Seeks Volunteers
The Foster Care Review Board was established in 1978 by Arizona statute to review, at least every six months, the case of each child in an out-of-home placement and subject to a dependency action. The purpose of these reviews are: to determine and advise the juvenile court of the adequacy of efforts and progress towards placement of the child in a permanent home; to encourage and facilitate the return of each dependent child to his/her family whenever possible; to promote and encourage stability in the child’s placement; and to assist in informing parents and others of their rights and responsibilities regarding a dependent child in foster care.
Volunteers are appointed by the presiding juvenile court judge in the county to fill vacancies on the five-member boards. New board member orientation and on-going training are provided to volunteers. In Arizona, there are over 500 volunteers serving as FCRB members serving on 103 review boards statewide. Each month, boards will review hundreds of cases of children in out-of-home care.
Each volunteer is assigned to one review board which meets monthly for approximately eight hours on a weekday. Additionally, volunteers must be able to commit approximately four to six hours at home reviewing case information in preparation for the case review. Review board members are not paid; however, they are eligible for reimbursement for mileage and subsistence according to state regulations.
For more information or applications, contact Jonni Wolfe, Community Outreach Specialist at
602/542-9406 or call our toll free number at 1-800-732-8193. Information is also available on our web site at www.azfcrb.org

The BIG Question
Folks, let me tell you what, I am not waiting until the next session starts, I am working hard to address this issue right now! How? By registering Republican voters and campaigning for Len Munsil. Already I have swayed friends, neighbors, and fellow club members that Munsil is THE ONE!
Tomorrow (Thursday) I will be attending a press conference with Munsil, Bill Montgomery, and Trent Franks on the Capitol Lawn at 10:00AM. If you are in the area, please make plans to attend.

Volunteers Needed!
Please consider these options:
Phone Calls – You might help us with our phone calls. We need volunteers to take part in evening and weekend phone banking efforts.
Recruit Other Volunteers – Have any friends that you think might be willing to join our grass-roots efforts to propel me back to represent traditional family values at state level? Pass along my email updates and website address.
Host a Party – Just a few friends, or everyone on your mailing list. You decide the size of the party, but I would love to stop by and meet some new people at your home as you share dessert together.
Get 10 Votes! - Can you find 10 people to vote for me, Trish Groe in the very important Primary and General election? You – that is one, your spouse makes 2 – see, you only need 8 more!
Tell 10 - If you tell 2 friends, and they tell 2 friends, and so on, and so on – before you know it, EVERYONE will know that Trish Groe is the top candidate for State Representative in District III.
Be a Team Leader - Are you a better leader than a follower? Then we need YOU to help coordinate all those friends that you just recruited to help the GROE 2006 campaign.
Help at Events - Join us at the events! Help us distribute literature and collect those valuable signatures at promotional events.
Please answer these questions too:How much time can you give?
Do you have any questions or comments?
Call me directly at 928-279-3332 or email me at TrishGroe@frontiernet.net

Governor Munsil?

Just getting back to Lake Havasu after spending the day in Bullhead City with Gubernatorial Candidate Len Munsil and his crew. They were in Kingman yesterday at the Kingman Republican Men's club in addition to two house parties last night before driving to Lake Havasu so they could attend the Lake Havasu Republican Men's club this morning.
Although all candidates for Governor are nice, Len Munsil is, in my opinion, THE ONE for the job. He is an intelligent, charismatic public policy expert with visionary leadership skills. Please take the time to visit his website and read his blog at www.LenMunsil.com. If you want to know him more, get in touch with his campaign and they will make it happen. Len is no stranger to District III and will be making trips frequently before the election. He needs no further campaign money so there is no pressure to donate...just give the guy a chance. I am sure you will feel confident supporting him in the upcoming election.

Campaign Update

Groe 2006 is in full gear and I must admit, I am quite energized! The endorsements are quickly coming in, several successful fundraisers have been held, and house parties are being scheduled!
The Speaker of the House Jim Weiers, Representatives Russell Pearce, Andy Biggs, and others have offered to appear with me at house parties and local events so be sure to let me know if you or your organization have something scheduled.
Please consider hosting a house party, it need not be elaborate...just a gathering of 10 or more people. This truely is a grass-roots effort and to be sucessful in this election I am asking you to introduce me to your friends, family, and neighbors by hosting an event in your home.
I am in the process of attempting to add an events calendar on my website for further clarification on my campaign stops but for now I will try to include them on my blog. The events with * indicate I will be one of the featured speakers. The events without notations, I will be available before and after for questions, comments, or concerns.
Friday 7/14 ~ Kingman Rotary~Elk's Lodge~7:00 am
Monday 7/17 ~ Kingman Republican Men's Club ~ Elk's Lodge ~ 11:30 am

What Nonsense! Advocates Push for Simplified Spelling
Those in favor of simplified spelling say children would learn faster and illiteracy rates would drop. Opponents say a new system would make spelling even more confusing.

Protect Yourself ~ Stop Unwanted Pre-Approved Credit Card Offers
One of them was a program regarding identity theft in Arizona. Although I do know quite a bit about this problem as it goes hand-in-hand with the meth epidimic, I found this little piece if information interesting and immediately grabbed my phone and called...1-888-5-OPT-OUT.
You can avoid getting these offers in the mail by calling a toll-free number operated by the major credit bureaus, 888-567-8688.
Your social security number will be requested to identify you. Getting off these marketing lists will not affect your ability to apply for credit.
So, please, right now, grab your phone and make this simple call, then afterwards, pass this information along to your family and friends.
